Our team is working hard to complete a development of 13 modular homes on Sugden Way in the London borough of Barking and Dagenham.
The development, which is being delivered in partnership with Be First, the council’s pioneering regeneration company, is due to be completed at the end of October.
Scaffolding has now been removed, balconies have been erected to the front and the rear of the four-storey building and internal works are in the final stages of completion.
Utility services will soon be connected and groundworks will continue until the development is ready at the end of October.
“This is a very exciting project which will provide a range of high-quality, permanent council homes for people in Barking and Dagenham, and we’re very pleased with how work has progressed,” said Steve Chivers, MD of Rollalong.
“There is a shortage of housing in the borough. Our modular alternatives to traditional construction offer a real opportunity to address the shortfall in approximately half the time of traditional construction methods and significantly reduce disruption to the neighbouring properties.”
Sugden Way is the first of two developments we are creating in Barking and Dagenham: we will also be building a three-storey apartment block featuring six individual apartments at Mellish Close.
We’ve manufactured 64 modules for these two developments in environmentally friendly, factory-controlled conditions at our factory in Dorset.
