Eddison Avenue, Dorchester

Eddison Avenue, Dorchester
Background This new development of modular homes on Eddison Avenue in Dorchester has been completed as part of our partnership with Magna Housing to deliver almost 1,000 new homes in the South West. The homes are a short walk away from Dorchester town centre, which has lots of local amenities, supermarkets and two train stations. The development comprises four homes that have been installed on a disused former garage site; the houses are terraces and stepped back to follow the contour of the land. Design The four new modular homes comprise: The one, two and three-bedroom homes feature a brick slip system and a standard truss roof with concrete tiles. All the homes also come with a garden and allocated parking. As this development is located amongst established properties, our new homes were designed to fit in with the surrounding buildings while improving the appearance of the site. Delivery Access to the former garage site behind Eddison Avenue was challenging because of the particularly narrow access roads, but our skilled installation team overcame all the obstacles and achieved a very smooth installation and completion of this development. Since completion, tenants have already moved into these new homes. Biodiversity We are keen to make sure that all our new developments are built with biodiversity in mind, so the following actions are planned to help encourage the local ecosystems surrounding Eddison Avenue: Client feedback “I was at Eddison Avenue today and was blown away by the quality of these homes. I had no idea I was looking at our MMC homes until I was told.” Magna Housing “The scheme looks really good and has set new standards for Eddison Avenue I do believe!” Magna Housing
